This policy explains how Dealena ("Dealena", "we", "us") handles personal data when you use dealena.in and the Dealena cashback service. It is written to comply with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, the Information Technology Act, 2000 and the rules made under them.

Data we collect
Information you give us
- Account details: name, email address and, if you choose to add it, mobile number.
- Payout details: UPI ID or bank account details in your name, needed to send cashback.
- Messages you send us, including order screenshots and details for missing-cashback requests.
Information collected when you use Dealena
- Click records: which offer you clicked, when, and a click reference that lets the store link your order to Dealena.
- Order information reported by stores or affiliate networks: order reference, date, eligible amount, commission and status. Stores do not share your payment card details with us.
- Technical data: IP address, browser and device type, and log data needed to run and secure the service.
How we use your data
- To create and manage your account.
- To track orders, calculate cashback and show order status.
- To pay out confirmed cashback to the payout method you choose.
- To answer your questions and resolve missing or declined cashback.
- To prevent fraud, misuse and duplicate accounts.
- To send service messages about your account and payouts. We send marketing emails only if you agree, and you can opt out at any time.
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations.
We process personal data on the basis of your consent, given when you create an account or contact us, and for legitimate uses allowed under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, such as complying with the law.
Who we share data with
We do not sell your personal data. We share it only as needed to run the service:
- Stores and affiliate networks: a click reference so they can attribute your order. We do not give them your name, email or payout details for this purpose.
- Payment service providers: your payout details and the payout amount, to send cashback.
- Service providers: hosting, email and security providers who process data for us under contract.
- Authorities: where Indian law requires it, or to protect the rights and safety of Dealena, our members or others.
How long we keep data
We keep account and cashback records while your account is open and for as long afterwards as needed to settle pending cashback, resolve disputes and meet legal and tax record-keeping requirements. When data is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
Your rights
Under the Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023, you can:
- Ask for a summary of the personal data we hold about you and how we use it.
- Ask us to correct, complete or update your data.
- Ask us to erase your data, subject to records we must keep by law.
- Withdraw consent. This may mean we can no longer track orders or pay cashback to you.
- Nominate another person to exercise your rights in the event of death or incapacity.
- Raise a grievance with us, and if it isn't resolved, with the Data Protection Board of India.
To use any of these rights, email support@dealena.in from your registered email address with the subject "Privacy request". We may need to verify your identity first.
Grievances
For complaints about how we handle your data or about the service, email support@dealena.in with the subject "Grievance". We will acknowledge your complaint and respond within the time required by applicable law.
Security
We use reasonable security practices, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), access controls and limits on who can see member data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you and the authorities of a personal data breach as the law requires.
Cookies
We use cookies and similar technologies as described in our Cookie Policy.
Children
Dealena is for people aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 18. If you believe a child has created an account, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. We'll change the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell members by email or on the website.
